Orbital fat prolapse. Eyes of a 72-year-old man with subconjunctival prolapse of the orbital fat (yellow) into the right eye (at left). In this condition, the orbital fat can herniate into the subconjunctival space following a rupture to Tenon's capsule. It can occur spontaneously or after trauma or surgery.
