Charles Samuel Myers (1873-1946), US psychologist. Meyers wrote the first medical paper on the phenomenon of shell shock, a form of post-traumatic stress disorder that occurred during the First World War. In 1901, Myers was one of the founding members of what would become the British Psychological Society.
