Star clusters in Hercules, 19th-century illustration. Star clusters can be open star clusters or globular star clusters. A prominent globular star cluster in the constellation of Hercules is designated M13, also known as NGC 6205. From a study made in June 1877. Artwork by French artist and astronomer Etienne Leopold Trouvelot (1827-1895).
