Inflammatory bulbitis. Endoscope view of the duodenal bulb, part of the duodenum (the first part of the small intestine) of a patient with bulbitis. This condition is the inflammation of this region of the duodenum. The duodenal bulb is the portion of the duodenum closest to the stomach. Bulbitis can be caused by infection with Helicobacter pylori, chronic gastritis and peptic ulcer disease.
