Cow dung soap production. Manufacture of soap from cow dung in India. The practice of using cow dung in India is part of traditional Indian medicine (Ayurveda). An example of an Ayurvedic therapy using cow products is Panchgavya, which uses five parts of the cow: milk, curd, ghee, urine and dung. Cow dung is rich in minerals and the bacteria used to digest plant matter. It is claimed that these bacteria have therapeutic properties that can heal skin disorders and improve the condition of the skin.
