Perforated eardrum, otoscope view. The tympanic membrane (eardrum) has perforated. This is a dry posterior perforation that has revealed the head of the stirrup (stapes) bone and the thin, bright white stapedius tendon (upper centre) connecting the bone to the stapedius muscle.
