Aural polyp, otoscope view. This large polyp will need to be checked using medical scanning before possible surgical removal. An aural (or otic) polyp is a benign growth. It usually arises due to chronic inflammatory cells proliferating. Granulation tissue will be present in response to chronic inflammatory processes of the middle ear.
