Caption

Antlion larva. Antlions (family Myrmeleontidae) are lacewings named for the aggressive predatory nature of their larvae. Antlion larvae dig pits to trap passing ants. A larva lives at the bottom of its pit and grabs any ants that fall in, crushing them with its powerful jaws.
