Illustration of strabismus, or lazy eye, a condition in which the extraocular muscles of the eye lack coordination causing the two eyes to gaze in different directions. It may be present at birth (congenital) or acquired. Treatment depends upon the underlying cause, but may include glasses, botox injections to the eye muscles, or surgery.
