Cerebral arteriovenous malformation treatment. Frontal coloured X-ray of the skull of a 32-year-old woman who has had an arteriovenous malformation (AVM, lower left) in her brain treated by the use of implanted coils and surgical glue. An AVM is an abnormal blood vessel arrangement. This AVM is present in the brain's right lateral venous sinus. A contrast medium has been used to highlight the area treated.
