Naevi in the iris of the eye of the eye of a 23-year-old man. The iris is a coloured muscular diaphragm that controls how much light enters the eye through its central aperture, the pupil. This patient has a naevus, a type of mole, in the iris of his left eye (see C038/9466). This image shows the other iris, in the right eye. There are smaller areas of brown pigment that may also be iris naevi. For both eyes, see image C038/9465.
