Methaqualone drug molecule. This drug, sold under the brand name Quaalude, is a general nervous system depressant. It was commonly used to treat insomnia and as a muscle relaxant and sedative in the 1970s. During this time it also became popular as a recreational drug. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (black), hydrogen (white), nitrogen (blue) and oxygen (red).
