Tubular colon polyp, light micrograph. This specimen shows tissue from a tubular adenoma. Tubular adenomas make up around 80 percent of all colon polyps. They are composed of round or oval shaped glands. Tubular adenomas are generally small and show low-grade dysplasia. Colon polyps can turn cancerous. Haematoxylin and eosin stain.
