Caption

Wolf snail (Euglandina sp.) hunting and devouring a smaller snail. Wolf snails inhabit the humid tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, from the southern USA to South America. They feed almost exclusively on slugs and other snails, which they hunt by following slime trails. They have been introduced to other regions to combat other invasive snails, but have themselves become invasive, devastating local snail populations. Filmed in the Amazon rainforest in Peru.
