Caption

Unidentified jellyfish filmed in the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the world's oceans. The jellyfish is seen floating through the water column, then retracts its tentacles and swims away. This is likely a defensive response to the presence of the Deep Discoverer remotely operated vehicle. NOAA 2016 Deepwater Exploration of the Mariana expedition.
