Caption

Most hermit crabs have a shell that they inhabit. This deep-sea hermit crab (likely Parapagurus sp.) uses an anemone instead. The crab appears to be missing a pair of legs, but the legs are actually modified, and hold the anemone in place. NOAA's 2016 Deepwater Exploration of the Marianas expedition.
