Odysseus and the cyclops Polyphemus. Greek myth of Odysseus (Ulysses) and the cyclops (one-eyed giant) Polyphemus. Odysseus and his men land on the island of the Cyclops on their long journey home from Troy. Trapped in the cave of Polyphemus, Odysseus and his surviving men escape after Odysseus blinds the cyclops. Artwork published in 1895.
