Developmental venous anomaly. Close-up of a developmental venous anomaly (DVA, venous angioma) on the lower lip of a 62-year-old female patient. A DVA is an extreme congenital variation in venous drainage and typically looks like a tree with multiple small venous branches draining into a larger more central vein. If found in the brain it may cause seizures or focal neurologic deficits.
