Iron (III) hydroxide precipitation. Test tube containing sodium hydroxide solution reacting with iron (III) chloride. This reaction produces an orange-red precipitate of solid iron (III) hydroxide in a solution of sodium chloride. This reaction is used as a test for the iron (III) ion.
