Caption

Weevil head, coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM). One of the large compound eyes is at upper right, and one of the antennae is at centre. Due to the shape of their head, weevils are commonly known as snout beetles. Weevils (superfamily Curculionidae) are small beetles that infest a wide range of plants and crops. Magnification: x50 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
