Apollo 11 Lunar Module view of the Moon during its descent and landing, ending with the shadow of the spacecraft on the Moon's surface. The Lunar Module, called Eagle, touched down on the Moon on 20th July 1969. This is the view from the pilot's window. The Lunar Module was piloted by Neil Armstrong, who became the first person to walk on the Moon around six and a half hours after touchdown.
