Kappa Orionis is the sixth-brightest star in the constellation of Orion. It also has the traditional name Saiph. Kappa Orionis is the sixth brightest star in Orion. At 720 light years away and 15-17 solar masses, it is about the same distance away from the Sun, and about the same size, as Rigel.
