Etienne Arago (1802-1892). French writer and politician Etienne Vincent Arago. Arago is best known as the co-founder (with Maurice Alhoy) of the French newspaper 'Le Figaro'. During the 1848 Revolution (February Revolution) he opposed Napoleon III and lived in exile in Belgium from 1849 to 1859.
