Caesium chloride. Computer model of a caesium chloride (CsCl) crystal. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: caesium (pink) and chlorine (green). It is composed of interlocking cubic lattices. At room temperature it is a colourless solid. This compound is used in the preparation of electrically conducting glasses. Its radioisotopes are also used in the treatment of cancer.
