Painted ceramic bowl, Indus culture, 3rd millennium BC. This bowl dates from the Early Harappan period, around the early to mid-3rd millennium BC, and was excavated at Damb Sadaat, part of the Indus region and culture. Damb Sadaat, in Baluchistan, was outside the area controlled by the cities of the Indus Valley, but these areas were in contact during this period. This object is part of the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City, USA.
