Woman riding Brahman bulls, 2nd millennium BC. This 14-centimetre-high bronze sculpture dates from the Late Harrapan Period of 2000 to 1750 BC. It is from the Kausambi culture in what is today India and Pakistan. It is a rare survivor of the early bronze culture of this period. Two humped ('Brahman') bulls support a platform on which is the woman is kneeling. She is wearing a small circular crown-like object on her head. This object is part of the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City, USA.
