Caption

A lateral view of one of the largest species of tachinid flies. Tachina grossa is easily distiguishable by the black body and yellow face. Whilst the adults feed on nectar the larva develop and feed on lasiocampidae caterpillars. Photographed in Somerset, UK in August.
