One of Blake's Men', 1650 (c1890-c1893). A crewman on board one of Admiral Robert Blake's ships. As commander of the navy of Oliver Cromwell's Commonwealth, Blake (1599-1657) became one of the most renowned seamen in English history. A print from Her Majesty's Navy Including its Deeds and Battles, by Lieut Chas Rathbone Low, Volume I, JS Virtue and Co, London, 1890-1893.
