Caption

A close-up view of the individual flowers of the southern marsh orchid (Dactylorhiza praetermissa). The orchid is found across northern and central Europe and grows in damp meadows. This species can be difficult to identify as it readily hybridises with other orchid species, such as the common spotted orchid. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in July.
