One-millionth Morris Minor, Oxford, 1960. British-Greek car designer Alec Issigonis (1906-1988), designer of both the Morris Minor and the Mini, behind the wheel of the one-millionth Morris Minor. Morris Motors was founded in 1912 as WRM Motors by British manufacturer William Richard Morris. By the late 1920s and early 1930s, Morris Motors was producing more than a third of British cars. Photographed at the Morris Motors factory in Cowley, Oxford, UK, in 1960.
