Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) scan. Reconstructed brain white matter fibres of the fornix, which helps to set the tone of our remembered world, and the corpus callosum, which connects the two sides of our brain. DTI offers a non-invasive look into how white matter, the highways of our brain, connect distant brain regions. Each fiber shown represents many thousands of actual fibres in the human brain. Colours are coded as; left to right - red, anterior to posterior - green, and superior to inferior - blue.
