Lead (II) nitrate (Pb(NO3)2) is added to a erlenmeyer flask containing potassium iodide (KI). Both solutions are 0.5 M concentration. Lead (II) iodide precipitate (PbI2) is formed as a result: KI + Pb(NO3)2 -> PbI2 + KNO3.
