Medical visualization of the effects of trans fats. Trans fats are artificially modified vegetable oils that have been widely used in fried and processed foods. Trans fats have been shown to raise LDL-particles and lower HDL-cholesterol. Trans fats are found in fried and processed foods and their straight shape allows them to stack easily.
