Caption

Manganese reacts with an acid. Manganese metal (Mn) reacts with 0.05M hydrochloric acid (HCl) in a test tube. The reaction produces hydrogen gas (H2) bubbles: Mn + HCl -> MnCl2 + H2. This is an example of a single displacement reaction.
