Caption

Zinc reacts with an acid. Zinc metal (Zn) reacts with 3M sulfuric acid (H2SO4) in a test tube. The reaction produces hydrogen gas (H2) bubbles: Zn + H2SO4 -> ZnSO4 + H2. This is an example of a single displacement reaction.
