Poas volcano, satellite image. Satellite image showing the Poas volcano (centre) in Costa Rica. Vegetation is green, water is blue, and cloud is white. The volcano has two caldera lakes. The northern lake, known as the Laguna Caliente, is one of the world's most acidic lakes, with a pH of almost zero. The southern lake is known as Lake Botos and fills an inactive crater. Imaged in February 1986.
