Mistastin crater, satellite image. The Mistastin meteor impact crater (centre) is situated in Labrador, Canada. It contains Mistastin Lake (black) and is thought to date from around 36 million years ago, during the Eocene epoch. The diameter of the lake is approximately 16 kilometres, while that of the original crater is thought to have been 28 kilometres.
