The first truly realistic virtual reality system has been developed by a scientist from Hampshire, England. Julian Eyre of VR Systems UK has just completed the Cybersphere, a rotating ball four metres in diameter within which users can walk, run or jump and experience a virtual environment with total freedom. Eyre believes the Cybersphere will have huge benefits for emergency rescue and military training, architects, estate agents and the entertainments industry.
