25 Medical Milestones

Doctors one hundred years ago could not treat diseases such as measles, tuberculosis and smallpox. There were no treatments for heart attacks, diabetes or even common infections. Today, antibiotics, transplant surgery and modern therapys are standard but new developments in genetic engineering will mean even more achievements in the next century.
