Crash Test Dummies

Early crash test dummies from the 1960s were crude devices used simply to measure how hard a person hit the steering wheel of a car. Today's dummies are far more complex, offering a stream of data from sensors located in every part of their bodies. This data provides researchers with ever more realistic data to simulate on their computers.
