The Faraday Image Collection

Michael Faraday (1791-1867) was probably the greatest experimenter of all time. His work in electricity and magnetism laid the foundations of modern physics, and allowed him to build the world’s first electric motor, generator and induction coil. He worked at the Royal Institution, London, where many iconic objects are preserved along with his notebooks.
