Albert Einstein: 14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955

"The important thing is not to stop questioning; curiosity has its own reason for existing."
Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity changed our concepts of gravity, space and time. His mass-energy equation; E=mc2, derived from his 1905 paper on Special Relativity, led to nuclear fission and the atomic bomb. In 1921 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect.
