After 20 years in space, the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft plunges into Saturn's atmosphere on 15 September ending its remarkable journey of exploration. Cassini’s primary goal was to carry out an in-depth study of Saturn and its surroundings. Over the course of its travels, it has transmitted invaluable data and images, expanding our knowledge of Saturn’s system.
