Scientific Breakthroughs in the Last 30 Years

As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we took the time to look at the key scientific developments during the last three decades. Included is: the first space shuttle launch, DNA fingerprinting, discovery of buckyballs, nanotechnology and stem cells, creation of biofuel, Hubble Space Telescope, World Wide Web, cloning Dolly the sheep, mapping the human genome, research done with the Large Hadron Collider CERN, 3D medical scanning technology and the creation of synthetic life.
